Terror attack occurs at church in Damascus, casualties reported

An explosion has taken place at a church in the Syrian capital, Damascus, local media reports.

According to Syria’s Ministry of Interior, the suicide bomber blew himself up inside the church. He was linked to the group Islamic State.

Syria’s Ministry of Health told SANA news agency that nine people were killed and thirteen injured in the attack.
