Azerbaijanis’ “return” issue comes back to surface

Two days after Pashinyan’s visit to Turkey, Istanbul hosted the 51st session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). Several resolutions were adopted in the Declaration of Istanbul, including the so-called return of Azerbaijanis to “Western Azerbaijan.” This is the first time such a resolution has been adopted within the framework of the OIC.

Aze.media reports that the document expresses support from OIC member states for the legal right of the Western Azerbaijani community to return and condemns Armenia’s continued denial of the fundamental rights of this community.
