Syria seeking mediated talks with Israel to cease attacks on country

The Syrian government is attempting to halt Israeli attacks on its territory through mediators, TASS reports, citing Syrian media.

Ahmed al-Sharaa, Syria’s interim president, referred to the issue in a recent statement.

“We are seeking to stop Israeli attacks through indirect negotiations with the help of international mediators,” Al-Sharaa stated.

As reported by Syria TV, Al-Sharaa’s statement was his first confirmation that Damascus is engaged in indirect negotiations with Israel.
