Iran thankful to Armenia and Armenian people for support in hard times
Tehran has expressed gratitude to Armenia for the support it provided during challenging times, and appreciates the stance of the Armenian people and government, Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani said during a press conference, referring to the Armenia-Iran relations during the period of military operations between Tehran and Tel Aviv.
“The Armenian people showed solidarity and support for our country, for which we are thankful. We also thank the Armenian government for its support during these days. Friends are recognized in joy and sorrow,” Sobhani stated.
He also noted that Armenia was among the countries that condemned Israel’s attack against Iran, and Tehran is grateful for this stance.
“The Armenian side clearly expressed its position condemning Israel’s aggression against Iran. We have witnessed the unity and moral support of the Armenian people during this difficult time for the Iranian nation,” Sobhani stated.
The ambassador noted that all joint projects with Armenia are underway. According to him, even during those challenging days, he met with representatives of Iranian companies involved in projects in Armenia and called on them to continue their work at the same pace.
“The situation in Iran has now stabilized, and all activities are proceeding as normal. I am hopeful that from today, air communication with Armenia will also be restored,” the ambassador stated.
According to him, relations between Iran and Armenia have never severed at any point, and mutual visits between the countries have even become more active.
