Iran can resume uranium enrichment within months, says Grossi

Iran may resume its uranium enrichment program within months. Despite the serious damage to its nuclear infrastructure after U.S. and Israeli strikes, it has not been completely destroyed, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said in an interview with CBS News.

“They can have, you know, in a matter of months, I would say, a few cascades of centrifuges spinning and producing enriched uranium, or less than that. But as I said, frankly speaking, one cannot claim that everything has disappeared and there is nothing there,” Grossi stated.

The IAEA chief has again called for a return to the negotiating table and finding a “technically sound” solution to the issue, adding that there is now an opportunity for this.
