Netanyahu confirms he will visit Washington coming week to meet Trump

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed today that he will travel to Washington next week to meet with President Donald Trump and other senior U.S. officials. The agenda and purpose of the visit have not yet been disclosed.

Following a 12-day ceasefire in the Israel-Iran conflict, Trump had announced that the violence between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, which has been ongoing for 20 months, should also be halted. Last Friday, Donald Trump did not rule out the possibility of reaching a ceasefire in Gaza within a few days.

Meanwhile, today Israel once again shelled the northern and southern regions of Gaza. According to Palestine’s Ministry of Health, there have been two casualties, including one child.
