Azerbaijani employees of Sputnik Azerbaijan released from detention

Employees of Sputnik Azerbaijan, who hold Azerbaijani citizenship, have been released on bail, the Telegram channel Sputnik Blizhnee Zarubezhye writes.

On June 30, Azerbaijani authorities unjustifiably arrested seven employees of Sputnik Azerbaijan, including the editorial board head, Igor Kartavikh, and the editor-in-chief, Yevgeny Belousov. They were placed in custody for four months.

Later, it became known that the Russian consul in Azerbaijan met with Kartavikh and Belousov. According to the Telegram channel, they are provided with medication and food.
