Beijing supplies Tehran with long-range surface-to-air missile systems in exchange for oil

China has supplied Iran with HQ-9B surface-to-air missile systems following the end of the 12-day conflict with Israel, according to the Telegram channel Free Iran.

It is noted that Iran has supplied China with oil as payment for the HQ-9B systems.

The HQ-9B is a Chinese long-range surface-to-air missile system designed to destroy aircraft, cruise missiles, and helicopters. It is the first Chinese air defense system capable of intercepting ballistic missiles. The system was developed on the basis of the S-300.

To remind, Iran’s Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh visited China on June 26, two days after the end of the 12-day war with Israel.
