Russia’s Emergency Situations Ministry thanks Azerbaijan for evacuating Russians from Iran

Russian Emergency Situations Minister Alexander Kurenkov expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan during a meeting with Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov in Baku for organizing the evacuation of Russian citizens from Iran amid the recent Iran-Israel conflict, RIA Novosti writes.

“Joint efforts were effective in assisting civilians—the Russians were able to return to their homeland,” Kurenkov stated.

To remind, Kurenkov arrived in Azerbaijan to participate in the session of the Executive Council and the General Assembly of the International Civil Defense Organization.
