Iranian president announces assassination attempt by Israel

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has stated that Israeli authorities carried out an assassination attempt against him, but it failed, TASS reports.

“Yes, they tried, but they failed,” Pezeshkian said in an interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson.

The Iranian president added that the assassination attempt was carried out about a week and a half ago, noting that the United States had no involvement in it.

“I was present at the discussion, and we discussed further steps. Using intelligence data from their spies, they tried to strike the location where we held the meeting,” Pezeshkian explained.
