Other actions not to follow opposition’s rally
At 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 2, the Armenian Revolutionary
Federation is calling for a rally in Freedom Square. ARF Supreme Council
Member, NA MP Ishkhan Saghatelyan said this.
“September 2 is the Independence Day of Artsakh. It has
been nine months since Artsakh has been totally besieged and has been
confronting the enemy. In this regard, no action has been taken and no protest
has been staged in Yerevan for nine months. We want to bring our compatriots,
concerned about the Artsakh issue, together on Sept. 2, so that we will stand
out against the total and inhuman blockade. We must show the people of Artsakh
that they are not alone, and that we know that they are struggling today for us
as well,” ARF member, MP Kristine Vardanyan said to ABC Media.
According to the MP, only the rally will be held on Sept. 2.
Other actions will not follow the rally.
“Hereby we want to draw people’s attention to the
reality and to show the people of Artsakh that they are not alone. At this
stage, expressing our opposition is of considerable importance,” Vardanyan
noted.
