Russia and Ukraine talks scheduled for July 24

The third round of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine will take place on July 24, TASS reports. “The meeting is scheduled for July 24, and delegations may arrive in Istanbul on the 23rd,” the agency’s source said.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the next meeting of the Russian and Ukrainian delegations is planned for July 23 and will be held in Turkey. In a  video message, Zelenskyy stated in his video message that the proposal to hold a new round of talks this week was announced to the Russian side by the head of the Kyiv delegation, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, at the talks in Istanbul.

The Russian delegation is led by Vladimir Medinsky, an assistant to the Russian president. The delegation also includes Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, Igor Kostyukov, the chief of the Main Directorate of the General Staff of Russia’s Armed Forces, and Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin.
