Particularly egregious is Azerbaijan’s weaponization of the blockade to starve the people of Nagorno-Karabakh and block humanitarian assistance: The Washington Post on Artsakh situation

The Washington Post referred to the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh caused by the blockade of the Lachin corridor. The author of the article got in touch with Former Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Luis Moreno Ocampo. The latter noted that the idea of genocide is not just about killing, but about removing people from the land. U.S. Sen. Alex Padilla, referring to the war in 2020, told the author of the article that Azerbaijan’s systematic ethnic cleansing of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh through a large-scale and unprovoked invasion is unconscionable.

“Particularly egregious is their weaponization of the blockade to starve the people of Nagorno-Karabakh and block humanitarian assistance,” the senator said.
