Tigran Abrahamyan: Syunik Airport can securely operate only when Azerbaijanis are pushed back from where they are based now

In the wake of the 44-day war, when Azerbaijanis got
positioned in the environs of Kapan, 100 meters from Syunik Airport in Kapan,
it became clear that the airport operations would be subject to Azerbaijanis’
mood swings,” Secretary of the NA With Honor Faction Tigran Abrahamyan
made a Facebook post on this.

He noted that Pashinyan had landed at Syunik Airport
yesterday. A few hours after that, three shots from the Azerbaijani side were
fired at the airport.

Abrahamyan noted that the official report says nothing as to
what actions the law enforcement agencies took to respond to the incident.

“The RA NSS also called on Azerbaijanis to conduct a
careful investigation into the incident. However, I do not think that people in
the NSS are so naive that they think the incident was just an accident or was
someone’s own initiative. The airport can securely operate only when
Azerbaijanis are pushed back from where they are based now, or worse still,
when an authority comes to power in Armenia that will make Azerbaijanis think a
hundred times before taking such steps. Thus, they will not commit acts of
provocation. Furthermore, this move was meant to humiliate Pashinyan. The Azerbaijanis,
hereby were showing the Armenian authorities their place, as well as giving
them a warning. Here are their brother Turks,” he wrote.
