Normalization process between Turkey and Armenia to proceed alongside Baku-Yerevan peace talks

Specific dates for the opening of the Turkey-Armenia border remain unknown. According to a Turkish diplomatic source speaking to RIA Novosti, the normalization process between Ankara and Yerevan is proceeding in parallel with the peace process between Baku and Yerevan.

“There are no specific dates yet regarding this issue [the opening of the Turkey-Armenia border]. As President Erdoğan has noted, the normalization process between Turkey and Armenia will take place alongside the peace process between Baku and Yerevan. We see positive steps in this direction. The entire region will benefit from a peace agreement signed between the two countries,” the news agency’s source said.
