Patel: We are going to continue to actively engage in the South Caucasus with our allies and partners to promote a peaceful and prosperous future for the region
Principal Deputy Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of
State Vedant Patel referred to the U.N. Security Council session held on
Aug. 16 at his briefing.
He noted that the U.S. continues to remain deeply concerned
about the continued closure of the Lachin corridor.
“I will just say broadly we remain committed to promoting a
peaceful and prosperous future for the South Caucasus region, and we are going
to continue to actively engage in the region with our allies and partners on
this as well,” Patel said.
