Iran’s vice president says direct talks with US possible under certain conditions

Iran is ready to consider the possibility of holding direct negotiations with the United States over its nuclear program if “suitable conditions” are created, Iranian media reports, referring to the country’s Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref.

“We have informed the U.S. of our readiness to strengthen trust. After some hesitation, they are now prepared to negotiate under balanced conditions. If the conditions are right, it will be possible to hold direct talks,” Aref stated.
