Smoking Nubarashen and hazy Yerevan: Armenia’s largest landfill burning

For four days, 25 rescue teams—comprising 150 firefighters and rescuers—have remained at Armenia’s largest landfill, doing their best to ease the complex situation.

According to a city mayor’s advisor, while fires have periodically occurred at the 75-year-old landfill, continuing like this is no longer acceptable.
