Aliyev meets Goldman Sachs’ Global Affairs president and discusses peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with Jared Cohen, President of Global Affairs at The Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Azerbaijani media reports.

They recalled their January meeting in Davos, noting that Azerbaijan and the company have enjoyed successful cooperation since 2010.

The discussion also touched upon the importance of progress in the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia, following the Aug. 8 meeting in Washington held with the support of the U.S. president. They noted that these developments create significant opportunities for the region’s development.
