Mher Grigoryan and Iran’s vice president emphasize importance of unblocking regional communications

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received Iranian Vice President, Head of the Planning and Budget Organization, and Co-Chair of the Armenia-Iran Intergovernmental Joint Commission, Seyed Hamid Pourmohammadi, the Government Press Service reported.

Welcoming the guest, Mher Grigoryan described the meeting as a good opportunity to exchange views on matters of mutual interest and highly appreciated the official visit to Armenia of the delegation led by the Iranian president.

During the meeting, Armenia-Iran bilateral relations and regional developments were discussed. Both sides emphasized the importance of unblocking regional communications within the framework of full respect for the principles of territorial integrity, sovereignty, legitimacy, and reciprocity.

Mher Grigoryan reaffirmed Armenia’s readiness to develop relations with Iran, highlighting the significant potential in the trade and economic sector. Agreements were reached to hold a series of important discussions in a working group format, aiming for more effective and constructive solutions.
