Turkey and Japan intend to deepen military cooperation

Japan’s Defense Minister Gen Nakatani has paid his first official visit to Ankara, where he met with Turkey’s Defense Minister Yasar Guler, Ermenihaber reports.

The sides agreed to expand military cooperation and launch bilateral dialogue in the field of the defense industry.

They also discussed opportunities for cooperation in military equipment and technology.

The high-level meeting was described as a new stage in bilateral relations.

During the talks, the ministers also exchanged views on security challenges arising from the ongoing war in Ukraine.
