
Russia fires missiles onto American factory in Ukraine
On Thursday night, Russian forces launched missile strikes in Ukraine’s Zakarpattia region, targeting an American home appliance factory in the city of Mukachevo, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing local officials, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, and the State Emergency Service.
According to the regional governor, around 4:40 a.m., two Kalibr missiles hit the factory. The attack injured 12 employees, who were hospitalized; two are in serious condition while the others sustained moderate injuries.
The Emergency Service reported that the total number of injured is at least 15. The strike also triggered a fire covering roughly 7,000 square meters of the facility.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that the targeted site is a major American electronics manufacturer. He noted that the factory is entirely civilian and has no connection to military infrastructure.
