China ready to support Ukrainian conflict resolution, says country’s foreign ministry
During a Friday press briefing, Mao Ning, Spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that all parties should contribute to a political resolution of the Ukrainian conflict—one based on sustainable security, and that China is ready to play a constructive role in this process, RIA Novosti reports.
“We believe all parties should work toward a political solution to the Ukrainian crisis, based on a vision of universal, comprehensive cooperation and lasting security. China is ready to play a constructive role,” the diplomat said, responding to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s remark that “Kyiv does not need China’s support as a security guarantor.”
The official noted that China maintains an objective and fair position regarding the Ukrainian crisis, which is “clear to all interested parties.”
