Houthis repel Israeli attack on Yemen’s capital
The Houthis have repelled most of an Israeli air assault on the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, according to Nasruddin Amer, deputy head of Houthis information service.
“The air defense managed to prevent the majority of the Zionist aggression, clashed with several of its combat units, and forced them to withdraw,” Amer wrote on X, adding that locally manufactured air defense systems were also deployed.
Israel carried out airstrikes on Sanaa and its surrounding areas, with explosions reported across the city. Targets included a military camp near the presidential palace, a power plant, and a facility belonging to an oil company.
