High air temperatures have caused shortages of water
resources in rivers, providing Stepanakert with water supplies. This, in fact,
adversely affects the provision of regular water supply, Stepanakert
Municipality reports.
“On the night of Aug. 14, water supply was almost fully
restored in Zone nine. It was partially restored in Zone four and Zone five, as
water supply is still cut off in Sarin Tagh and V. Barepasht quarters. Restoration
works continue in Zone 10. To somewhat minimize the inconvenience caused, water
tanks are installed outside apartment buildings where water supply is
disrupted,” the municipality stated.
They note that the weather will still stay hot and urge
people to use drinking water when a real need exists to use it.
