MIA Rescue Service: In the current year, 219 cases of getting stuck in an elevator were reported, 200 of which were registered in Yerevan
In 2022, the Ministry of Emergency Situations was informed
about 371 cases of people getting stuck in an elevator in the Republic of
Armenia. Three hundred and fifty of these cases occurred in Yerevan. The RA MIA
Rescue Service said this to ABC Media.
Between January and August, 2023, 219 cases were reported,
200 of which in Yerevan.
Both in 2022 and in 2023, the largest number of cases in Yerevan
was recorded in the administrative district of Nor-Nork, namely 81 cases in
2022 and 57 in 2023. In the administrative district of Kentron 52 and 28 cases
occurred in 2022 and 2023 respectively. As for Avan administrative district, 46
cases were registered in 2022 and 10 in 2023.
In Ajapnyak district, 32 cases were recorded in 2022. In the
current year, the number has reached 10. As for Arabkir district, 37 cases were
reported in 2022 and 14 in 2023. In Davtashen, 24 and 19 cases occurred in 2022
and 2023 respectively. As for Erebuni, 20 cases were reported in 2022 and 12 in
2023. In Malatia-Sebastia the number of cases reached 26 in 2022 and 29 in the
current year. In Shengavit district, 17 cases were recorded in 2022 and 10 in
2023. As for Kanaker-Zeytun, 14 and 3 cases were recorded in 2022 and 2023
respectively.
The data for 2023 reflects the situation as of Aug. 19.
