Advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader welcomes peace and regional route reopening

Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan met with Kamal Kharazi, Advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader and Head of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations.

Grigoryan stated that the reopening of regional transport and communication routes will take place within the framework of full respect for the principles of state territorial integrity, sovereignty, legitimacy, inviolability of borders, and reciprocity.

Kharazi welcomed the establishment of peace and the reopening of regional routes, reaffirming Iran’s principled stance regarding Armenia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.

The two officials also discussed the Armenia-Iran bilateral agenda and stressed the importance of the prompt implementation of ongoing and planned projects.
