Washington strikes Venezuelan drug-carrying ship: International media roundup
U.S. armed forces struck a ship in the Caribbean Sea on Tuesday that had departed from Venezuela and, according to Washington, was transporting drugs.
Trump said the vessel was destroyed in an explosion and caught fire, killing all 11 crew members. He explained that the dead were members of Venezuela’s Tren de Aragua criminal gang, which the U.S. designated as a terrorist organization in February.
No American service members were injured during the operation.
