Moscow expresses cautious optimism about pre-signed agreement between Baku and Yerevan, says Overchuk
Russia is approaching the pre-signed agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia with cautious optimism, seeing it as a contribution to strengthening peace in the region, Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk said at a meeting of the Eastern Economic Forum, TASS reports.
He also commented on trade relations between Russia and Armenia. According to Overchuk, trade with Armenia is expected to fall by about half by the end of the year compared to 2024.
“In other words, if last year it amounted to $12.4 billion, this year it will probably be around $6 billion, maybe slightly more,” Overchuk noted.
