Survey: Residents of Yerevan are concerned about waste management, public transport and environmental issues

According to the survey conducted by the Gallup
International Association, 33.4% of the residents of Yerevan are greatly
concerned about the waste management issue in the capital.

Aram Navasardyan told journalists that 29% of Yerevan residents are concerned
about the issue of public transport, 7% of the respondents mentioned the
environmental issues, and 10.5% are concerned about poor road conditions and
traffic jams. 

People were also asked about Yerevan mayoral elections and
if they think that the elections are going to be fair. Thus, 16.1% of the
respondents said ‘definitely yes’, 28.9% ‘rather yes’, 19.5% ‘rather not’,
32.1% ‘definitely not’.

Survey showed that 9.7% of the respondents are going to vote
for the Civil Contract party’s candidate Tigran Avinyan, 3.7% for Hayk
Marutyan, 2.8% for the Armenia alliance and 2.2% for the European Party of
Armenia.

2.2% of the respondents will cast their vote for Mane
Tandilyan and 2% for Davit Khazhakyan.

1.4% of the respondents are going to vote for Artak Galstyan
from the Public Voice party, 1.2% for the RPA, 1.1% for Viktor Mnatsakanyan,
0.9% for Artak Zeynalyan and 0.7% for Natalia Rotenberg.

According to the survey, 19.2% of the respondents are not
going to vote in these elections, 11% will not cast their vote for anyone.

The survey was conducted from July 27 to Aug. 5.
