Qatar calls for collective response to Israeli attack
Qatar’s Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has said that there must be a “collective response” to Israel’s attack on the Qatari capital Doha, as Arab leaders rushed to the Gulf nation to express solidarity, Al Jazeera writes.
“There is a response that will happen from the region. This response is currently under consultation and discussion with other partners in the region,” Katar’s PM said, adding that “the entire Gulf region is at risk”.
He also noted that they are waiting for effective steps that will force Israel to stop its persecutory actions, and accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of putting the region in a complicated situation.
As noted, a regional meeting is planned in Qatar, and countries are exploring all legal means to hold Netanyahu accountable for violating international law.
