Casualties reported as US again strikes Venezuelan drug ship

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that American forces struck a vessel allegedly carrying drugs from Venezuela on Sept. 15, the White House says.

Trump said the strike took place in international waters as the ship was heading toward the United States. Three men aboard the vessel were killed in the attack.

The U.S. president also released footage of the incident, calling it “the second strike targeting brutal drug cartels and narco-terrorists.”

The first strike of this kind was carried out earlier in September.
