
Robert Redford dies at 89
American actor, director, and producer Robert Redford has died at the age of 89, The New York Times reports.
Redford passed away in his sleep at his home in Utah in the early hours of Sept. 16.
Over the course of his career, he appeared in nearly 60 films and directed or produced more than 30. He was best known for his roles in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”, “The Sting”, “Three Days of the Condor”, “All the President’s Men”, and “Ordinary People”.
Redford won an Academy Award for his directorial debut, the 1980 drama “Ordinary People”.
