Georgia’s Opposition seeks to organize a ‘Maidan’ in the country, says parliament speaker
Georgia’s opposition and foreign-funded NGOs, which are planning a “peaceful revolution” on Oct. 4, the day of local self-government elections, want to organize a Maidan in the country, TASS reports, referring to Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili.
“This is a dangerous path chosen by several parties and NGOs under external pressure. This path directly leads to a Maidan, bloodshed, and unrest,” Papuashvili told reporters.
