EU commissioner for enlargement to visit occupied Akna

EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos has arrived in Baku.

Kos will review demining operations in occupied Akna.

“Marta Kos’s visit coincides with an important phase in the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan and will provide an opportunity to present the EU’s interregional relations agenda as a concrete contribution to regional development,” Azerbaijani media report.

During high-level meetings, Kos will discuss shared strategic interests, including energy, transport, and demining activities.

The European commissioner is scheduled to meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, and Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov. She will also visit occupied Akna to meet with demining specialists.
