Oxford and Cambridge fail to make top 3 in UK university rankings for first time

For the first time, Britain’s oldest universities, Oxford and Cambridge, have not appeared in the top three of The Times’ Good University Guide rankings, published annually since 1993.

The London School of Economics topped the list for the second consecutive year, followed by the University of St Andrews and Durham University. Oxford and Cambridge now share fourth place.

Ranking analysts noted that Durham outperformed many of its rivals in teaching quality, research, student satisfaction, and graduate outcomes. In terms of graduate employment, Durham was surpassed only by Imperial College London, which ranked sixth overall.
