11:41: 35 years later, memories of shaking buildings come flooding back

Thirty-five years ago, on this day, Spitak, Gyumri,
Stepanavan and Vanadzor were shaking. The earthquake measuring 6.8-7.2 on the
Richter scale completely destroyed the town of Spitak and 58 villages. As a
result, 514,000 people found themselves homeless. 11:41 still makes the
earthquake survivors shake. They remember how the ground cracked within
seconds, how buildings and schools were destroyed.
