Newly appointed Deputy Defense Minister Hrachya Sargsyan
began his career odyssey in banks. In 2010–2018, he worked at two well-known
banks mainly as a credit risk analyst, getting promoted from junior specialist
to head of various departments.
In fact, Hrachya Hakobyan would still be occupying the
position of credit specialist, if it hadn’t been for Nikol Pashinyan’s walking.
Hrachya Sargsyan embarked on his political career in 2018. In 2018, he was
elected member of the Yerevan Council of Elders. Then he became the First
Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, and afterward the Mayor.
