Poland to reopen border crossings with Belarus
Poland will reopen its border crossings with Belarus on Sept. 25, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced during a government meeting.
“We have decided, together with the interior minister and the administration, to reopen the border checkpoints with Belarus. The decision will be signed today,” Tusk said.
He added that the border will reopen at midnight on Sept. 25.
Poland had closed the border with Belarus on the night of Sept. 12, citing “security concerns.” Tusk explained the move was linked to the start of the active phase of the joint Russian-Belarusian military drills “Zapad-2025”, which took place from Sept. 12 to 16.
