‘Our freedom of speech is under attack’: Jennifer Lawrence criticizes Trump
American actress Jennifer Lawrence received the Premio Donostia 2025 Award in San Sebastian in recognition of her career, making her the youngest performer to receive it, Euronews writes.
“It’s a huge honor,” the actress told a pre-ceremony press conference, where she also reflected on the state of culture in her country: “Our freedom of speech is under attack in America, including in the world of film, where we realize that we are all connected and need empathy and freedom.”
During her career, 35-year-old Lawrence has already won an Oscar and a Golden Globe.
A number of statements supporting Palestine were made during this year’s awards ceremony.
