At the press briefing, in response to the question about
Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations Louis Bono’s visit to the region,
Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State Matthew Miller said that he had
no details to provide about the visit.
“We do believe that a peace agreement is within reach. That
is why we continue to engage both at the seniormost levels of this department
and at subcabinet levels with leaders in Armenia and Azerbaijan to urge them to
reach the difficult compromises that are necessary to reach a full peace
agreement,” he said.
