The CSTO is ready to return to discussing the possibility of
establishing a mission along the borders of Armenia. Director of the First CIS
Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Mikael Agasandyan said
this.
“The organization is waiting for a positive response from
Yerevan so that it can restart working toward this proposal and other joint
activities aimed at helping its ally.
Western countries try to exert political and economic
pressure on Russia’s closest allies, including Armenia, so that they can do
serious harm to Russia and weaken its positions in the South Caucasus.
Like any international organization, the CSTO is not a magic
wand. As for the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, it is one of the most serious
conflicts. The only way to settle it is the normalization of relations between
Armenia and Azerbaijan through negotiations,” he said.conditions of detention, state of health, received medical treatment and the
possibility of return.
