Unprecedented rise in crime

There was a time when “street fights” ended with nothing more than a scratch or a torn shirt. Today, they often result in serious bodily harm or even worse tragedies.

Statistics from the past six years in Armenia clearly show that the danger has grown: in 2018, the number of crimes committed against individuals stood at 24,678, while by 2024 that figure had risen to 40,232.
