
Iran-Russia strategic partnership agreement serves as basis for protecting international peace and security, says Iran’s foreign ministry
Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between Iran and Russia, signed by the two countries’ presidents on Jan. 16, 2025, in Moscow, has come into force, IRNA reports.
According to the statement, the Iran-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement is a significant milestone in the history of bilateral relations and signals an elevated level of friendly ties across all areas of mutual interest.
“This important document, by defining the areas and priorities of cooperation between the two countries, establishes a clear framework for strengthening collaboration in diplomacy, economy, trade, science and technology, energy, investment, defense, culture, and other fields. It serves as a basis for coordination and synergy to promote mutual interests, protect international peace and security, and respond to increasing threats and challenges to the rule of law and the principles and objectives of the United Nations,” reads the statement.
