Greta Thunberg to be deported from Israel after being arrested on ship bound for Gaza

Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg will be deported from Israel to Greece after being detained aboard a ship heading toward Gaza, Anadolu reports.

As noted, a total of 165 activists will be deported.

“Thunberg will travel to Greece together with the Greek citizens who were also arrested by Israel after taking part in the flotilla,” the report said.

As of Oct. 3, Israel had detained around 40 vessels from the Fortitude flotilla, which was sailing toward Gaza on a humanitarian mission.

Organizers said the Global Sumud flotilla, consisting of 47 boats, carried more than 500 activists.
