Today, a 68-year-old citizen of the Republic of Artsakh was
detained by Azerbaijan. He was one of the patients who were being transferred
to RA hospitals under ICRC mediation. From the checkpoint he was taken to
another place, Artsakh State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan reports.
“At the moment, the ICRC representative is with our
citizen. However, negotiations still prove unsuccessful. We are waiting for
further updates. An ICRC representative from Goris accompanied the rest of the
patients to hospital in Goris. These patients were also on their way to RA
hospitals when the incident happened. As for the citizens who received
treatment in the Republic of Armenia, they cannot return to Artsakh as the ride
was canceled,” the state minister said.
