
4 dead after building collapse in Madrid
Four people have died following the collapse of a building in Madrid.
El País reports that at noon on Oct. 7, a building under construction in central Madrid collapsed. The city’s mayor confirmed the recovery of two bodies, and rescuers later recovered two more from the rubble.
According to local authorities, the exact cause of the incident remains unknown. El País notes that the building belonged to a Saudi Arabian foundation and was being converted into a four-star hotel.
