Cristiano Ronaldo becomes first billionaire footballer
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Saudi club Al-Nassr and Portugal national team forward Cristiano Ronaldo has a net worth of $1.4 billion.
Bloomberg reports that in June, the 40-year-old striker signed a new contract with Al-Nassr valued at over $400 million.
From 2002 to 2023, Ronaldo earned more than $550 million in total. He also signed a 10-year deal with Nike, reportedly worth around $18 million per year, and has collaborated with brands like Armani and Castrol, increasing his wealth by over $175 million.
The agency calculated that Ronaldo’s move to Al-Nassr in 2023 brought him approximately $200 million annually, including tax-free salary, bonuses, and additional perks.
