Turkey’s foreign minister meets with Syrian counterpart

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with his Syrian counterpart Esaad Hasan Sheybani.

The Turkish diplomacy chief leveled a series of accusations against the opposition group Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

“The Syrian Democratic Forces, which implement a divisive agenda under the guise of fighting the ‘Islamic State,’ must abandon that agenda. It is important that no terrorist organization operating in Syria becomes a threat to any country in the region or to us,” Fidan said.

Sheybani, in turn, stated that in dialogue with the SDF, they adhere to the principle of “one country, one army, one territory.”

“Israel’s threats continue to endanger our security and violate our territories in new areas,” the Syrian foreign minister added.
