As expected, Azerbaijan didn’t even allow the delivery of humanitarian aid to Artsakh: Former State Minister of Artsakh Ruben Vardanyan’s response to ABC Media

Convoys carrying 360 tons of humanitarian aid still remain
stuck in Kornidzor.

“The “integration” proposals to provide Artsakh with
aid via the alternative road of Aghdam are of no use and remind the people of
Artsakh of the “humanitarian aid” sent to the Stepanakert railway
station in the late ’90s. Thirty-five years ago, being placed in an even worse
situation, the people of Artsakh refused to accept this option and exercised
their national will instead. Today, as well, the plan to destroy the dignity of
the people of Artsakh with the help of mundane worries is doomed to
failure,” the state minister said.

He noted that from the very first day of the blockade, the
“We are Our Mountains” territorial development agency lent a helping
hand to the government of Artsakh to build up food reserves. However, 225 tons
of goods are still sitting in warehouses in Goris.

The 280 tons of wholesome and high-calorie food supplies,
provided by the agency and other benefactors since February, can be put into
long-term storage.

“We would like to note once again that a country that
has a statehood built on sound foundations cannot be turned into a
concentration camp and be left at the mercy of humanitarian aid. Instead of
addressing the issue of humanitarian aid, we must spare no effort to return to
normal life,” he said..
